Battlestate Games Attempts to Clarify Unheard Edition Yet Again

In the ongoing saga surrounding Escape from Tarkov's Unheard Edition and the controversy over access to PvE content, Battlestate Games has once again stepped forward to provide clarity and address the community's concerns. With tensions running high and players seeking answers, Battlestate's latest update aims to shed light on the situation and outline their plans moving forward.

In a recent communication to the community, Battlestate emphasized that the PvE mode is not considered DLC but rather a separate functionality that requires dedicated network infrastructure. They acknowledge the frustration among Edge of Darkness (EoD) edition owners regarding access to this mode and assure players that it will be made available for free to all EoD owners upon the game's official release, once the necessary server infrastructure is in place.

"We observe your dissatisfaction and have decided that the functionality of the PvE mode will be available for free to all owners of the EoD version at the release of the game, when the server infrastructure will be improved to the required capacity," Battlestate stated in their latest communication.

However, Battlestate recognizes the current limitations in launching the PvE mode for all EoD owners due to resource constraints. To provide an interim solution, they offer EoD owners the opportunity to test the mode by purchasing the Unheard Edition at a discounted rate. Additionally, Battlestate extends a 50% discount to EoD owners who choose to upgrade to the Unheard Edition.

"We plan to send one free Left Behind Edition key to everyone who has already upgraded to Unheard Edition at the old price from the EoD version," Battlestate added, aiming to address concerns over fairness and value for players who have already invested in the game.

Moreover, in a move to ensure accessibility to PvE content for all players, regardless of edition, Battlestate proposes the option to purchase separate early access to the mode. EoD owners will receive a significant discount of 70% on early access to PvE, demonstrating Battlestate's commitment to inclusivity and fairness within the Tarkov community.

As Battlestate navigates the complexities of addressing community feedback and balancing the interests of players, they also pledge to review and potentially adjust the special items exclusive to the Unheard Edition to maintain game balance.

In closing, Battlestate invites players to share their thoughts and feedback on these proposed measures, signaling a willingness to engage with the community and adapt to their needs. The path forward for Escape from Tarkov remains uncertain, but with open communication and collaboration between developers and players, the game's future looks promising.
