Battlestate just dropped the latest tech update for escape from tarkov and we got this brand new trailer marking the end of winter and a brand new community event " https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAJXGK7dDaI&t=8s " in this trailer it reveals the end of winter which is a common Russian tradition to celebrate known as Maslenitsa which means "also known as Butter Lady, Butter Week, Crepe week, or Cheesefare Week, is an Eastern Slavic religious and folk holiday which has retained a number of elements of Slavic mythology in its ritual. It is celebrated during the last week before Great Lent; that is, the eighth week before Eastern Orthodox Pascha" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maslenitsa .
in this community event snow has made a comeback, and players must light 1,000,000 bon fire yes 1 million at the time of creating this blog post the community is at almost 100,000 in the first day (progress can be track here https://www.escapefromtarkov.com/maslenitsa) its reported a entire quest line has dropped related to this event unfortunately not related to eating pancakes in tarkov... However we were able to get a glimpse at 2 of the quest so far refer to the screenshots at the end of the post to see these quests, this event brings everything from a new enemies called Morana's and reportedly killing a certain amount spawns in a new boss, bon fires are lit up in many different ways the easiest way seems to be tracer rounds.
